  • Keep phones silent during class.



3. Courtesy & Communication

  • Supervise children at all times.

  • Avoid surprising takedowns on others.

  • Notify the instructor if you need to leave class early.

  • Shake hands with higher-ranked individuals as a sign of respect.



4. Hygiene & Gear

  • Maintain cleanliness and wear appropriate attire (no ripped gis, matching tops and bottoms).

  • Ensure personal hygiene (trimmed nails, hair tied back).



5. Sparring & Safety

  • Respect the belt hierarchy.

  • Engage in safe sparring practices (no reckless moves, be gracious in victory/defeat).

  • Be aware of your surroundings.

  • Use mouthguards and cover any open wounds.



6. Use Your BJJ Wisely

  • Use BJJ for personal growth and self-defense, not for aggression or intimidation.

  • Respect the art and the facility.
